Discussing the Poem 'You Are Not Grass'

The poem was inspired, in part, by the extinction of the passenger pigeon. It also utilizes a list of obscure and bizarre disorders to examine the range of what is human as well as to question why some behaviors are characterized as 'problem behaviors' or neuroses while others are accepted within the range of human normalcy.
