High School, Boott Mills, and How I Became a Poet: An Interview

I was recently interviewed by poet Paul Marion of Lowell, Massachusetts (city of my birth) for a column he writes for Richard Howe's history and politics blog. I began my journey of higher education at a community college housed in the mills pictured above. Generations of my French Canadian family worked in these mills and my grandfather owned an auto garage right around the corner. Thank you to Paul Marion for giving me an opportunity to revisit early days and places and to remember what a struggle it was to become the person and poet I imagined I could be.
